Senior

Class of 2025

  • WELCOME CLASS OF 2025!

    12th Grade Checklist

    Fall 2024

    • Continue to Visit Schools! Seniors can have up to two excused absences for college visits. Use this form to take advantage of college visits!
    • Finalize Your College List! When applying for college, use the information you have gathered from college visits, interviews, and your own research. It is okay to apply to colleges that you think will be more difficult to get accepted. It is also important to put a few safety schools (where you are sure you will get in) on your list. Talk to counselors, teachers, and parents about your final choices.
    • Stay on Track! Colleges will look at what you have done in your senior year, so stay focused on doing well in your classes and maintaining a commitment to extracurricular activites.
    • Submit Financial Aid Forms! No matter your family's income level, the FAFSA/TASFA is your main priority for financial aid purposes as it will determine how much you are expected to pay toward your college expenses. More information can be found at College for All Texans.
    • Take Standardized Tests! Register for and take the ACT or SAT. Be sure you have requested your test scores be sent to the colleges of your choice.
    • Ask for Letters of Recommendation! Give letter of recommendation forms to the teachers you have chosen. Discuss your goals and ambitions with your teachers so they will be more prepared to write about you.
    • Complete Applications! Finish the application forms for your schools of interest. Proofread your applications and make extra copies before you send them. Make sure you have sent all necessary materials, including test scores, recommendations, transcripts, and application essays. You should plan to get all this done before winter break so you will not be rushing to make deadlines.
    • Transcripts! Official transcripts must be requested using Parchment.

  • Winter 2024 - Spring 2025

    • Build Your Credentials! Be sure to keep track of academic and extracurricular awards, community service achievements, etc. This is information you will need when applying to college and/or building your resume!
    • Stay Involved! Taking on leadership roles and making a commitment to the same groups are more important than trying out tons of new activities each year.
    • Transcripts! Official transcripts must be requested using Parchment.
    • Compare Financial Aid Packages! Make sure to consider each financial aid award carefully. If you have questions, contact the financial aid office of the college to get more information. Financial aid is a key factor in deciding where you will attend.
    • Prepare for Standardized Tests! You may be taking AP, IB, or UT OnRamps exams to earn college credit as the school year winds down.
    • Make Your Final College/Career Decisions! Notify all schools of your intent by May 1. If you are not sure which college offer to accept, make one more campus visit to the schools you are considering. Make sure to send your deposit to your chosen school and ask your school counselor to send your final transcript to the college in June.

    RHS Prom 2025 FAQs

How do I buy a prom ticket?

Tickets will be sold through RevTrak. Students must complete the Event Protocol Form in order to access tickets via RevTrak.  Ticket links will be live March 24, 2025 and will close April 4, 2025.

Are there paper tickets? How do I get into prom?

Your student ID badge is your ticket and it is also your date’s ticket if they are not a RHS student. Student ID barcodes will be linked to your ticket purchase and scanned at the door for entry. Outside guests must bring a photo ID that matches the name on the ticket.

What if I paid my class dues?

If your class dues were paid in full prior to December 31, 2024, your ticket will be activated once you submit your Event Protocol Form. Please contact melisa.southworth@rockwallisd.org if you have questions about your class dues.  Those that have paid their dues do not need to buy a ticket.

Where do I find the Event Protocol Form?

The protocol forms will be sent via Skyward blast. You can also access it here.

Can I bring a guest who doesn’t go to RHS?  How do I buy their ticket?

You can bring any outside guest as long as they are under the age of 21 and you have turned in a completed NON-RHS Prom Guest Form.  You can buy a ticket for your date through RevTrak.  Their ticket will be linked to your student ID, but your guest will need to bring a form of photo ID with them as well (driver’s license, etc), if they are not a student at RHS.

Is there a different protocol form for my guest if they are not a senior?

If your date is an RHS student who is not a senior, you will need to fill out the Prom Non-Senior Google Form.

What if I forget my student ID on prom night?

You will not be admitted to the dance without your ID, so you will have to go home and get it or have a parent bring it to you. We strongly recommend that you make sure you have an intact student ID BEFORE you leave school the Friday before prom.

How do I buy a ticket for After Prom?

After Prom tickets will also be sold through RevTrak.  Class dues do not cover the cost of After Prom tickets.

Can my date go to After Prom?

Yes.  Your date can go to After Prom if you purchase their ticket on RevTrak and have turned in their NON-RHS Prom Guest Form or RHS Non-Senior Guest Form.
